Sharps Removal

Our highly trained, certificated, vaccinated and insured staff are experts in the safe removal of needles, syringes, razor blades and all sharps items. The risks associated with sharps includes puncture wounds and the passing on of bloodborne pathogens within body fluids, such as Hepatitis and HIV. The removal of contaminated sharps is a potentially dangerous undertaking and should not be carried out by untrained individuals. Once the sharps have been removed, the area is disinfected to ensure all body fluid biohazard contamination is eradicated.

Site surveys and risk assessments are always performed before removal of any needles, syringes and sharps items.

All sharps procedures are fully documented and auditable.

All sharps removal, incineration and disinfection of the sites are carried out in full accordance with Health & Safety, government and COSHH procedures.

The transportation and disposal of contaminated items following a needle pick can only be undertaken by a company holding a waste carriers licence.
We offer our services to local authorities, housing associations, drug rehabilitation centres, letting agents, landlords, colleges, universities, the police and prison services, offices and workplaces.
